Seeking non-union actors for online workshop and reading of AGAIN, THE SPELL, a full-length play by Lennart Nielsen. Directed by Alicia Grosso.
Salary: $350 for a maximum of 32 hours total for workshop and recording.
Online callbacks from 2pm-8pm Eastern Time, Tuesday, June 28 and Wednesday, June 29. Callbacks will be set by appointment and do not require actor availability for all 6 hours on a day; actors wishing to be considered for more than one role may be scheduled for more than one appointment.
Online workshop and rehearsal of new play, July 18-22, 4pm to 9:30pm Eastern Time.
Online archive taping with invited audience, July 23, 5:00 pm to 9 pm Eastern Time.
Synopsis:
A farcical, time-traveling story set in an ancient forest, Again the Spell uses mistaken identity, lovers at cross-purposes, and faith that inter-human communication is sometimes possible to tell an optimistic tale about personal identity, conviction, and love.
NOTE: All parts are open-race/open-ethnicity. Actors do not have to identify as the listed gender in order to play a part, but the characters do identify as their listed gender.

LORELAI (F, 20s) a runaway bride, ambitious, a dreamer. Romantically drawn to LESLIE.
From the 19th century—
ENOS PLAQUE (M, 20s) a poet, sensitive, restless. In a closeted relationship with TIMION
TIMION BABBINGTON-STORK (M, 20s) a financier, sensible, responsible, closeted. In a relationship with ENOS.
MELODY PLAQUE (F, 7) Enos’ young sister, inquisitive, spirited, 18-to-play-younger.
From the Present day—
LINDA MULHOLLAND (F, 30s) a theatre director, obsessive, perfectionist, driven to understand her past.
LESLIE VALLAINCOURT (F, 30s) a working actor, in need of a change. Drawn romantically to LORELAI.
